I had a career as an interior designer in the corporate world until 2012 when my youngest son was born. I still dabble in freelance work when I have time, but most of my efforts on a daily basis are devoted to my family. I like a good party and I throw one for my kids on a monthly basis … no joke. You’ll see those parties highlighted on this blog or in my scrapbooking layouts. Valentine’s Day, St. Patty’s Day, Bastille Day … you name it, we celebrate it!
Creating crafts at home has been a hobby for as long as I can remember. I’ve been making cards and gift tags with rubber stamps since 1997 when I tried Stampin’ Up for the first time. In 2004 I made my own wedding invitations. Scrapbooking took off for me when my daughter was born in 2005. In 2015 I started documenting my family’s lives with Project Life. You can read about that process here. I am a self-proclaimed creative that is fueled by coffee. Some may argue I’m a little inflexible, I think I just know what works for me. (wink … wink)
I love football, cycling classes, lifting weights, gin, lavender and the color red … not necessarily in that order. I’ve seen all seven seasons of the Gilmore Girls at least 20 times and I’m 100% Team Logan. I am a hard core University of Wisconsin fan – GO BADGERS! (If you’re a Badger, you’re my best friend forever!)
NOTE: This blog is about my hobbies and some of my posts will include links to products on Amazon. Truth be told, I am a member of the Amazon Affiliate Program. I will receive a small commission if you purchase products from those links. Thanks in advance for your support!
