As part of the Paislee Press Creative Team, I design projects using The Lilypad’s Memory Pocket Montly releases. The theme for March was Roar. Sometimes my layouts go along with the theme, but most of the time it doesn’t fit exactly with what I’m documenting that month. The nice thing about these kits is that there is so much digital content, it’s easy to put together layouts that have nothing to do with the theme.
This particular layout was about my son’s favorite sport, soccer. In the past year he has become really passionate about playing soccer, so we’ve kept him busy throughout the year in clinics and classes. Usually my husband takes him while I stay home with our other two kids. I wanted to make an insert for my album that highlighted his routine, where he plays and how excited he is about playing.
I really like to use my Silhouette Portrait for cutting out a big batch of elements for these layouts. The subscription comes with a file filled with tons of elements. I usually cut way more than I need and play around with my layouts. On this particular layout I used a stamp for the day of the week.
This kit had some really great colors that worked perfect for my layout. I loved adding a mini instax picture to this layout so that I could use the day of the week paperclip. I just purchased my Fuji Instax Printer this year & I am absolutely in love with it. It took me a year before I finally made the decision to purchase it. I’m glad I bought it because I use it weekly in my album!
